Drivers in Houston received strange advice from some construction signs the other day. Expecting to see “Detour” or “Road Closed” notices from the signs on Louisiana and Prairie, the public was greeted with “POOP” and “:) LOL” instead. Of course this trick isn’t anything new. It’s been around for quite a few years but amazingly the department of transportation has yet to update the system and master login credentials on these devices. Tampering with these devices is punishable by a $500 fine. Of course, if you have any information on the culprit you can contact the local Houston police department.
Update: Commenter Chancelloriate let us know that the culprit was indeed found! Denver Hopkins turned himself in and his interview can be seen here, on the same site that the he comments on. Thanks Chris!

Coincidentally, the person who changed the sign is a Swamplotter, and commented on the articles.
EDIT: Also, the guy turned himself in, and faces up to a $500 fine.
