It’s been 10 years and I still can’t really talk about what happened that day. Every year around this time I don’t watch much television, I avoid most political sites, hell, I put myself on a strict news-less diet. Why? Because “remembering” isn’t the problem, the problem is I can never forget.
That said, Kent Corbell took a totally different approach than what I’ve come to expect around this time; instead of the endless disaster porn stories and images, Corbell is asking, “Can we forgive? Can we understand? Can we work it out?” Honestly, this may be the first step in finding out if we as a nation (and closer to home, if we as the City of New York) has truly healed.
