Fellow Noisers, are you enjoying the extra day in your long weekend? Well I’m not, I’m slaving away because Steven doesn’t feel I deserve a break. Jokes on him because I’m the guy who’s most likely to play video games and call it “research”. Well in either case we’re going to try something new around here, where I’ll present a quick rundown on what to spend your hard earned money on this week! Sounds like fun? Good, so let’s get to it.
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record
The good folks at Capcom are bringing back hard-boiled photo journalist Frank West for another perspective of the Fortune City outbreak. Back are the crazy custom weaponry and zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. Since this time we get Frank’s point of view, we’ll also see his camera so you can catch all the horrifying, crazy, hilarious outtakes that happened the Fortune City outbreak. (Available on XBox 360, PS3, and PC)
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon
The perennial flight-combat simulator is back in hopes to make up for the lukewarm Ace Combat 6 with their latest, Assault Horizon. In their latest installment, Namco enlists the talents of New York Times bestselling author Jim DeFelice to bring this story right into our world. Combining what sounds like a compelling story line along with the introduction of helicopter combat (a first for the series), Assault Horizon may be the game to hold you over until Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are released. (XBox 360, PS3)
Forza Motorsport 4
If ever there was a time I was jealous of XBox 360 owners this would be it. Race simulator fans rejoice, the latest Forza Motorsports title will be dropping tomorrow and with it come 80 manufacturers, over 240 vehicles, and a plethora of DLC from top names like Top Gear. The only question really is how much time are you willing to commit to it?
Red Dead Redemption- Game of the Year Edition
If you missed out or put off picking up Red Dead Revolver’s sequel, good things come to those who wait. The GotY edition includes the Undead Nightmare, Legends and Killers, Liars and Cheats Pack, Hunting and Trading Outfits Pack, Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack, Solomon’s Folly, and Myths and Mavericks. Not bad for $50. (Xbox 360, PS3)
Game on.
