Kerning is an important element of all designs including any form of typography. For the uninitiated kerning is how you space letters. As the always relevant XKCD points out bad kerning can be quite irksome.

This little web based game from Method Of Action will let you test your chops at how good or bad you are at determining what is good kerning. I am apparently mediocre with a 78/100. How did you do?
